The Florida Lung Health Coalition (FLHC) is a collaboration between clinical and industry partners. FLHC is a consortium of nonprofit and for-profit companies involved in the lung cancer pathway.
Our focus is complete lung health—end-to-end lung health screening and lung health treatment. FLHC sponsors are companies that that are deeply committed to lung health, such as those in the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries, and they support our state-of-the-art screening process and outreach activities.

Open Positions:
Program Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Program Manager to lead and fulfill the goals of the Lung Health Initiative. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders, designing workflows, securing grants, managing program activities, ensuring compliance, coordinating volunteers, and fostering relationships to drive the successful implementation of a state-wide lung cancer screening initiative. The Program Manager role reports directly to the Florida Lung Health Coalition operational officers.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Development:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify priorities, resources, and timelines for implementing the lung cancer screening pilot across Florida.
- Lead the design and development of workflows, protocols, and outreach programs aimed at enhancing lung health initiatives.
Grant Acquisition and Management:
- Continuously seek grant opportunities and write compelling grant applications to secure funding for lung health initiatives.
- Manage the grant acquisition process and ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting.
Program Execution and Oversight:
- Manage the execution of program activities, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
- Monitor program progress, evaluate outcomes, and leverage data-driven insights to recommend enhancements for better impact.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and integration of the lung cancer screening initiative.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, healthcare laws, and accreditation requirements.
- Implement quality assurance measures to monitor program effectiveness and adherence to best practices.
Volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and coordination:
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers through various channels, including online platforms, community outreach, and partnerships.
- Conduct interviews to assess candidates' skills, interests, and suitability for different volunteer roles.
- Conduct volunteer orientations, training sessions, and workshops to onboard new volunteers, familiarizing them with the organization's mission, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure background checks and necessary paperwork are completed for volunteers.
- Maintain a database or system for volunteer scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for ongoing activities.
- Coordinate logistics for volunteer assignments, including materials, resources, and necessary accommodations.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation on program outcomes, including data analysis, impact assessments, and improvement recommendations.
- Regularly communicate program achievements, challenges, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in program management within the healthcare or public health sector, preferably related to lung health initiatives.
- Strong understanding of grant acquisition processes and experience in writing successful grant applications.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, healthcare laws, and quality assurance methodologies.
